The proper way to wash houses

We wash all of our vinyl siding by hand using a soft brush to clean the siding and just garden hose pressure to wash the dirt away. Many people have asked me why don't you just  pressure wash it? My answer is this, pressure washing can do damage to vinyl siding if not done carefully with low pressure. There is a protective coating on vinyl siding from the manufacture which gives it a sheen and also protects the siding. When you use a pressure washer to clean the siding, the coating can come off and the siding starts to look chalky. It also attracts the dirt more easily because the coating is now gone.Also there is a danger of water being forced behind the siding creating a mold problem , which is unseen but may come to light later on. The other thing is, is that most insurance companies do not cover damage caused by use of a pressure washer to your house. All that being said, the safest and most effective way to clean your house is by the soft brush method. We use a proprietary blend of detergents that do most of the work. The stubborn ares are safely soft brushed and than rinsed with a garden hose. Great results and worry free cleaning.
